This is a web page just for firefighters! We've got other web pages for public safety agencies which you can learn about by clicking on the About Us selection on the selection bar above. We are honored to be able to serve your special needs in wireless communications and related accessories as well as keeping you up to date on the latest information on grants, technical standards, and FCC regulatory standards (See the Legal/Technical section above).
If you are associated with an Alabama Volunteer Fire Department operating on the Alabama Forestry Service (AFS) UHF radio network, you know that the FCC's mandatory move to narrow band by 2013 has been moved to 2009 for AFS system users. That means that new radios will be required.
The question is which technology do you choose? Analog, IDAS, MotoTRBO, or P25? Any fire department with these questions may want to check out a special web site that we have developed to help you get the right answers. You can check it out by going to www.icomfuture.com, or if you would like to know what one of the largest 2-way radio system users is doing, please check out our special Why Digital section and Communications FAQ's on this web site. We also have a constantly update Blog with the latest news on digital technology at http://falconinfo.blogspot.com In the Digital Radios section. You can sign up for automatic updates as they are made by clicking on the RSS icon at the top right side of this page.
We've made it easy to find our products by separating them into the most popular categories of vehicle Intercoms, Mobiles, Pagers, Portables, Stations (both base stations and repeaters) plus our Special Products available by clicking on the applicable selection tab at the upper left.
